The Emirates FA Cup second round draw takes place on Sunday evening, with 40 clubs waiting to find out who they will face next in the world’s oldest cup competition.

Seventh-tier sides Kettering Town, Gainsborough Trinity and Harborough Town are all into the second round after progressing on Saturday. National League clubs Wealdstone, Dagenham and Redbridge and Oldham are also in the hat, having each fended off League Two opposition.

Birmingham City and AFC Wimbledon also sealed a place in the next round on Sunday afternoon. There are three more first-round fixtures left to be played on Sunday, while Chesham United host Lincoln City on Monday evening.

The second round proper ties for this season are to be played between Friday, November 29, and Monday, December 2, 2024, before the Premier League’s heavy hitters enter the fray for the third round. And Mirror Football brings you everything you need to know ahead of the exciting draw.

When is the draw?

The draw for the second round of the 2024/25 Emirates FA Cup is scheduled to take place this evening (Sunday, November 3) during the BBC‘s first round highlights show.

The show itself will begin at 6.15pm on BBC Two, though the actual draw is expected to start at around 7.45pm.

The draw will be presented by Kelly Somers, with Emile Heskey and Leon Osman pulling out the balls.

Coverage of the FA Cup draw will be shown live in the UK on BBC Two. You can also watch the draw live and for free online via the BBC Sport website and BBC iPlayer, as well as all of the Emirates FA Cup social media channels.
