Bryson DeChambeau appeared to catch Donald Trump off guarding during a victory speech in Florida on Wednesday morning after being re-elected as President of the United States.

Trump is set to make a comeback to the Oval Office following his triumph over Democrat Kamala Harris at the polls, and he marked the occasion with a celebration among his supporters at the Palm Beach Convention Center. In the midst of his celebratory address, Trump attempted to introduce U.S. Open champion golfer, DeChambeau to the audience.

Desptite this, the LIV Golf star was nowhere to be seen. As Trump introduced DeChambeau, he said: “We have up here today the US Open champion.

“He is a fantastic golfer. He is slightly longer than me and hits the ball a little longer than me. Just a little bit, it is Bryson DeChambeau.” However, when Trump looked around for the Crushers GC captain among his entourage on stage, DeChambeau was missing. “He is up here someplace,” the Republican continued.

“What happened to Bryson? Where is he? Bryson? He’s hitting balls,” Trump joked with a forced grin. “Oh, he is on the way… Oh, look at him.” DeChambeau finally made his entrance onto the stage, climbing the steps sporting a ‘Make America Great Again’ cap.

DeChambeau, appearing somewhat embarrassed by his tardy arrival, managed a quick smile and gave a wave in Trump’s direction. The LIV Golf star and Trump are familiar faces to each other, with DeChambeau having previously invited the President to feature on his growing YouTube channel earlier in the year.

Trump joined DeChambeau for one of his ‘break 50’ challenges, having previously paired with the likes of Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia, Tony Romo, and John Daly. DeChambeau’s decision to mix politics with golf did raise eyebrows, but he stood by his decision at LIV Golf UK back in July.

“First off, it’s an honor to play with anybody of that type of influence, no matter who it is on any political side,” DeChambeau expressed at JCB Golf and Country Club in July. “Again, this whole content piece, it’s a content creation piece, was about delivering some unique different content on YouTube.

“We wanted to showcase the golf abilities of any influential person, and he was definitely up on a list that I wanted to showcase. We were able to call out and ask him to play, and he said yeah, absolutely. We asked the other side, as well, and anyone that wants to play. They’re more than willing to do something for charity.

“Wanted to make it about charity and the Wounded Warriors Foundation. I’ve done a lot for them in the past, and it was fantastic to see that he was willing to support it, as well, as well as anybody that wants to support their charity, I’m more than willing to do a fundraiser for them and drive a lot of traction to those charities, whichever they are.”
