Dan Fallows has left his role as Aston Martin F1 technical director, the team has confirmed.
Fallows joined the Silverstone-based squad in April 2022 having spent many years working under Adrian Newey at Red Bull. But after two-and-a-half years as technical director, he is changing jobs again.
With Newey set to start at Aston Martin next March as managing technical partner, his former protege Fallows is moving on with immediate effect. The team confirmed he will remain within the Aston Martin organisation, though did not specify what his new role will be.
A brief statement read: “The Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team and technical director Dan Fallows have today jointly announced that from November, Dan will no longer serve as technical director of the Formula One Team. Dan will remain with the Group.”
Fallows said: “In my time at Aston Martin, it has been a joy and a privilege to guide the technical team on their journey towards being race and championship winners. It is time for me to pass on the baton, but I look forward to watching the team’s future success, which I am sure will come soon.”
And group chief executive Andy Cowell added: “I would like to thank Dan for his contribution to Aston Martin Aramco in the last two years. Dan led the team to the success of the AMR23 which secured eight podiums last season.”
It is the latest in a string of big personnel changes made this year at Aston Martin. Cowell himself is a new arrival, having replaced former CEO Martin Whitmarsh only last month, having previously led the highly successful Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains division.

The most high-profile new arrival is, without a doubt, Newey. From the moment he announced his plan to leave Red Bull earlier this year, rival F1 teams were falling over themselves to sign the man credited with bringing much of the success the Milton Keynes-based squad have had since he started designing their cars in 2006.
Aston Martin owner Lawrence Stroll set his sights on convincing Newey to join his project and he beat Ferrari to the 65-year-old’s signature. He has not even started his job but was unveiled with much fanfare earlier this season, in a special press event at their new factory and team campus across the road from the Silverstone Circuit.
And that was not the only blow Stroll landed on Ferrari in recent months. They have poached Enrico Cardile from the Italians, who will become their chief technical officer, reporting to Newey next year as part of a new-look design department.
