Boxing icon Mike Tyson looks in fighting shape as he gears up to face YouTuber Jake Paul.

Despite the 31-year age gap, the former heavyweight champion has rolled back the years to step into the ring in the early hours of Saturday. After months of training Tyson, 58, has returned to his infamous ripped physique, looking as powerful as he did in his prime.

Iron Mike, who last fought in 2020 against Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition match, has kept himself fit, sparking huge interest among fans. Paul, 27, has made waves by taking on former mostly MMA fighters and boasts a growing reputation in the ring with only one loss to Tommy Fury.

Mike Tyson will face Jake Paul in the ring on November 15. The fight will air exclusively on Netflix, which is available for free with Sky’s latest TV deal.

Shoppers can get the Sky Stream bundle for £26 a month – or £29 on a monthly rolling plan – which comes with Netflix subscription at no extra cost

Both men are expected to make around £15million each from the Netflix event which will take place at the 80,000-seater AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home of NFL giants the Dallas Cowboys. The pair’s original bout was originally due to take place in July before Tyson, who retired in 2005, suffered an ulcer flare-up.

The former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world will undergo a series of last-minute tests touching gloves with Paul, having revealed the full extent of the experience. Tyson became dizzy and nauseous on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles earlier this year, forcing airline staff to ask passengers if there was a doctor on board.

In an interview with New York Magazine, the 58-year-old explained how doctors found a two-and-a-half-inch ulcer on his stomach. “I asked the doctor, ‘Am I going to die?’ Tyson began. “I lost 25 pounds in 11 days. Couldn’t eat. Only liquids. Every time I went to the bathroom, it smelled like tar.

“All my coordination, stamina, everything was hectic getting back. I was peaked already. I could have fought him that day. Now I got to start from scratch. I had, like, eight blood transfusions. The doctor said I lost half my blood. I almost died.”

His comments have alerted The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, who are expected to conduct an investigation.

In a statement issued to World Boxing News, TLDR representative Tela Mange said: “Thorough pre-fight physicals will be conducted by TDLR-appointed physicians, who will discuss Mr Tyson’s medical history with him. Before the event, TDLR will conduct pre-fight physicals to ensure the health of both fighters.”

The eight-round fight is classed as a professional one. No headgear will be worn and 14-ounce gloves will be used. Tyson insists that he isn’t fighting for the money, recently telling the Independent : “I’m just doing it because I want to test myself.

“Regardless of me being how old I am, this guy only has 11 fights. If I can just fight a little bit, with my experience… if I can just fight 10 per cent of what I was, he can’t match that. That’s being sincere. I’m gonna beat him. I know what I can do, I’ve seen what he’s capable of doing, and I’m not intimidated or afraid of him.”
