YouTuber-turned-boxer Slim Albaher believes AnEsonGib has always attempted to find a way to ‘manoeuvre’ around him in order to get a ‘different fight.’

Despite his stunning claim, the pair will finally go head-to-head on Thursday in Doha, Qatar. Both Slim and Gib are widely-regarded as two of the biggest stars in Misfits and are scheduled to headline a historic ‘Supercard.’ Over the last few years, both men have traded barbs on multiple occasions. The pair got up close and personal during a heated face-off in Newcastle recently before exchanging words at a heated launch press conference last month.

Slim comes into the clash off the back of a devastating win over Salt Papi last year. Meanwhile, Gib scored a unanimous decision victory over Jarvis in his last outing back in 2023. With a record of 6-1, his only defeat inside the squared-circle came against Jake Paul four years ago. The defeat to ‘The Problem Child’ sparked the bitter rivalry between the two upcoming opponents, that’s at least according to Slim.

Ever since, the American star believes that Gib has always tried to find a way to avoid the fight. Speaking to Mirror Fighting, Slim said: “Basically, I helped him get the Jake Paul fight. He lost. After that, I wanted to get the fight with Gib, but he never wanted to fight me. He’s always found a way to manoeuvre around me and get to a different fight. He’s always fought someone else and I’ve been chasing him. That’s why he doesn’t like me because he hates that I’ve been chasing him. He expected one of these guys to get rid of me and for that fight to die down, but I kept winning. And the fact that I kept winning… every time he made a post on social media about Slim, people were saying: ‘Fight Slim,’ ‘when are you going to fight Slim?’ Everybody would bug him.

“It got to a point earlier this year he ‘retired’ from boxing because he didn’t want to fight me. And then he said he wanted to do MMA because he didn’t want to fight me. I don’t understand how much of a b**** you can be. Now, the fact that it’s finally happening, he’s so upset that he has to fight me. He’s so upset that I’m his biggest money fight. It bothers him. I know, you can see it in his face. That’s why he’s trying to market the fight ‘Gib vs Misfits.’ He’s doing that because he doesn’t want ‘to give me no attention.’ I’m more of a credible fighter than him. I’ve done incredible things in boxing than him. If you show any traditional fighter our highlights in boxing, my highlights are way more vicious than his. I put people to sleep with one punch.”

However, the 30-year-old didn’t stop there with the trash talk. The Misfits sensation was quick to add that he believes Gib will ‘regret’ ever signing the fight contract. “He’s only got three knockouts,” he continued. “One of them was a guy called ‘Max Plays FIFA’. He’s a guy who doesn’t box at all and the other two knockouts were… he knocked out Austin McBroom, he dropped him five times or whatever. The third time, Austin McBroom quit so he didn’t finish him, he quit the fight.

“Me, I have five knockouts and every guy I’ve knocked out was with one punch. I’ve got that different kind of right hand power. He’s going to feel that on fight night and he’s going to regret even signing that contract.”
